VO2 Max Testing
Why everyone should be doing it!
What is it and why do I need to know?
VO2 Max is a precise measurement of the amount of oxygen your body can import, transport and use. It is the key indicator of cardiovascular fitness and a strong predictor of how long you are going to live.
It tests the maximum amount of oxygen a person can use during intense exercise, which is a measure of aerobic fitness and cardiovascular endurance. It is considered the gold standard for determining your health and fitness levels.
This test is no longer exclusive to elite athletes; it is important for everyone as it assesses your wellness and longevity, enabling you to make informed decisions and live your best life!
Unlike traditional methods, our testing doesn’t require you to push to your limits. In just 15-20 minutes, we gather all the information we need, with efforts ranging from easy to moderate intensities. Testing is done on a treadmill (running) or cycling. This unique testing offers the same level of accuracy as the best labs using metabolic carts.
