About Jamii

Jamii is originally from Western NY, receiving her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology (and minoring in Sports Medicine and Computer Science) from SUNY Brockport. After spending a year working with local high school sports teams and an Arena Football team, she then moved to California to get her Masters at San Jose State University in Kinesiology, completing all coursework short of writing her thesis.

Starting her career in a rehabilitation-focused physical therapy clinic in Portola Valley, Jamii quickly rose to become a top expert in athletic training, even mentoring newer trainers. After a severe back injury ended her team sports career, she turned to cycling as a way to stay active and soon developed a passion for both racing and bike mechanics. Recognizing the importance of proper bike fit, Jamii began providing expert bike fitting services at the clinic.

Jamii offers personalized care, drawing on her extensive background in rehabilitative medicine and athletic training. With firsthand experience in recovering from injury and returning to peak performance, she brings deep empathy and insight to your recovery and performance journey.

When working with you during rehabilitation, she and the physical therapist will develop your individualized plan. She will serve as your dedicated wellness provider, ensuring you perform prescribed exercises safely and effectively. She will also maintain regular communication with our physical therapists and other care providers to tailor a plan that's just right for you, empowering you to regain function without pain.

Since 2010 she has been running her own fitness training and endurance sport coaching business. Over the years on her own she has attended many conferences but has really come to focus on her (Functional Range Conditioning®) FRC® techniques and the learnings from Dr. Stacy Sims on women’s specific physiology and how best to train women according to their cycles and age.

In her free time she loves photography, exploring new food, trying new beers/hard ciders, playing with her Whippet mix, and One Wheeling on the beach with her wife. She currently participates in duathlons and long distance trail running at a competitive level.

"I had a superb bike fit experience with Jaimii. In addition to a cleats-up approach to my setup, she took the time to lead me through range of motion assessment and targeted stretching to ensure an accurate fit. Her background in sports medicine and years in the field were a real asset, and I learned a lot about the issues that have been plaguing me on longer rides.I’d recommend RIF - and Jaimii - to anyone looking to take their riding to the next level."

"Jamii was very professional, thorough and a great listener. She asked the right questions and made adjustments where I thought things were fine before going in.By the end I felt smoother on the bike, not as stretched out and more comfortable all around whether sitting up or tucked low aero style. Can't wait for my first ride."
