Research has long shown that people with low back pain demonstrate altered muscle patterns. Recent research observed these altered patterns during active leg lifting - or Prone Hip Extension. We at RIF have been using Prone Hip Extension for years, in order to both assess these muscle patterns AND facilitate or promote NORMAL recruitment patterns in clients who have had low back pain.
